WHY WORK WITH A GARDEN DESIGNER?

'DESIGN IS SO SIMPLE. THAT'S WHY IT'S COMPLICATED"

PAUL RAND

Whether your project is large or small, complex or simple, a garden designer will help ensure that you get the garden that works for you at a price you can afford.

Building a garden can be similar to building a house; it involves a combination of plans and drawings, expertise, physical construction and quality control to bring the idea to life.  Like building a house, it can often be a lot more expensive than people think.   You probably wouldn't attempt to build your own house without an architect's help and probably don't want to spend more money than you have to,  so working with a garden designer on your garden build is a really good idea.  A designer will help guide you through the myriad of design decisions and help you maximise what can be achieved for your budget.

Unlike houses, gardens have the added dimensions of weather, seasons and living entities in the form of plants and wildlife that add a degree of uncertainty as to how the garden will perform.  A designer will help ensure that all of these less predictable factors are considered and allowances for them are made in the design so that you are more likely to get a garden that you love being in, is practical for you and will continue to thrive as it matures.
